Debbie Forster, MBE is an experienced and award-winning leader and builder of individuals, teams and organisations.
Debbie Forster is an award-winning leader and a recognised figure in the areas of diversity, tech, innovation and education, capable of developing and realising strategic visions. She balances her time as CEO of the Tech Talent Charter and a wider portfolio career delivering training, workshops and lectures on social entrepreneurship, speaking as an expert on diversity and inclusion, providing individual coaching and public speaking and panel facilitation.
With her consultative approach, Debbie has developed extensive expertise in education policy and practice, technology and growing a business from start-up to scale-up, and has a strong understanding of working across sectors. She has demonstrable experience working in the third sector, with government, corporates and education, and takes pride in the very real and positive impact her organisations have made in the lives of young people.
Debbie was awarded an MBE in January 2017 for “Services to Digital Technology and Tech Development” and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) named her Woman of the Year for 2016. She serves on the government’s Digital Economy Council and on the Institute of Coding’s Diversity Board. She has been named on Computer Weekly’s list of “25 Most Influential Women in UK IT” since 2013. Most recently Computer Weekly also named her in its 50 Most Influential People in UK IT, their “definitive list of the real movers and shakers in UK IT – the CIOs, industry executives, public servants and business leaders driving the creation of a high-tech economy.”
